St. Patrick’s Day Parade

(Beginning and ending at the corner of Albany and Anniston)
4 Shreveport announces Shreveport’s first St. Patrick’s Day parade. Information on participating in the parade is listed below. This parade promises to be fun and family orientated. Please join us in supporting 4 Shreveport and it’s charity of the year, the Right to Play playground at A.C. Steere Park.
SINGLE LEVEL floats can be rented from local Mardi Gras krewes. DOUBLE DECKER FLOATS ARE NOT ALLOWED. Anyone showing up the day of the parade with a double decker float will not be allowed to participate. All floats must be no larger than 8’ wide x 20’ long x 10’ high. Throw packages and official parade t-shirts are available for purchase from 4 Shreveport. All float walkers are required to wear the official float t-shirt. Packages start at $185 and contain cups, beads and doubloons. Information on these packages are available in the parade entry form packet available for download below. All throw and t-shirt package order forms and payment must be turned in by Friday, February 22, 2008.
Members of the community can nominate the Grand Marshall for the parade based on the qualities of leadership and devotion to their community. Please email your nomination in 300 words or less to 4shreveport@gmail.com. Please include you name and contact number.
